Appears to be working now. Thanks!

Does it?

To clarify the SQL issue is separate from the other global mail issue. The global mail issue has been resolved. (I think.) But the SQL issue still remains to be resolved.

The email system on frontend2 the new web UI server has been configured for email.  They will have the correct from address and supported by DKIM and such now.  Hopefully this will resolve the issue for messages generated from now forward.

The upgrade on Friday from frontend1 to frontend2 brought the web UI up to the next level of Trisquel OS release.  That's great!  It was definitely needed!

However the mail subsystem was not fully configured.  It isn't address mapping (masquerading), and it doesn't have DKIM signatures configured.  Those two things means that mail delivery is dependent upon the recipient's email service provider.  Some will accept the mail and some will not.  At this moment I see 266 messages in that category of not being accepted.

Let me work on this configuration issue and this should improve deliverability of new messages.

A similar configuration works for me with my Savannah group.

Does the 'feedback' say it sent the notification to your address when you submit a comment?

Gmail is a really sophisticated beast; it's entitled to discarding anything and anyone.

Probably not, but thank you, anyway!

I was just made aware of a new bug that I should have been notified about, but wasn't:

  https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?62364

The project is set up to notify user agruen, with -email is unavailable- as the configured email address. I have verified that email forwarding from -email is unavailable- to my real email address (andreas.gruenbacher@gmail.com) works.

When I click on Submit Changes on https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/admin/notification_settings.php?group=patch (Bugs > Set notifications), I'm getting the following error message; maybe that's related:

db_query: SQL query error in [UPDATE `groups` SET `bugs}_glnotif`=1,`send_all_bugs`=1,`new_bugs_address`='agruen',`bugs_private_exclude_address`='' WHERE group_id = '10178'] Unknown column 'bugs}_glnotif' in 'field list'
