James, had the same problem. Use 'stk500' for -dprog.

Hope I'm not just annoying someone by being very silly but, I've got an avrisp serial programming adapter that works fine using the windows avr studio 4 but uisp won't establish comms with the programmer.
Here's the command and output.
uisp -v=4 -dprog=avr910 -dpart=at90s8515 -dserial=/dev/ttyS0 -dspeed=115200
Transmit: { V [56] }
Receive: { . [15] }
Programmer is not responding.

Am I just doing something stupid or does the software not support this programmer yet? The windows software sends a string of 0xE0s and other non printable chars. Not a 0x56 though.

Any help appreciated.
