I thought about it when I was testing clamav, but there are so many virus scanning packages out there that I think it would become too complicated to support more than one, and I wouldn't want to have to pick just one.

It looks like Kaspersky provides a sendmail milter at http://www.kaspersky.com/download.html?type=p&chapter=752955&obj_id=3373954
, and it looks like there's another at http://sourceforge.net/projects/avp-milter also. If either of those can be configured to add a header to the message when a virus is detected, you can run it before spamass-milter and have a spamassassin rule check for it.

Can the milter be configured to pull in say Kaspersky anti virus scanning on the emails it sends for spamassassin? Its a nice package and would be even better if it allowed hooks for AVP scanning as well.

Is this outwith the scope here or something that is possible?

RH linux 8.0. Sendmail 8.12. Milter 0.2.0. Kaspersky anti virus for sendmail.
