I'll keep that in mind and try to apply the "<" and ">" outside nick, and just cut the nick, not these chars (in near future).

Hmm.. as my current terminal doesn't allow for setting the word selection range, this solution still doesn't really solve it for me and I guess I'll just have to set it to a space again..

If I can be honest, I guess it would've made more sense if the cut-off had worked more like this:

Orignal:
<@Steve_Restless> http://i.imgur.com/k1RB5.jpg

Current:
<@Steve_Restl…http://i.imgur.com/k1RB5.jpg
(Making it impossible to click-select the URL)

Personal preference:
<@Steve_Res…> http://i.imgur.com/k1RB5.jpg

(in other words, keeping the suffix, and applying the more indicator before the suffix and keeping the alignment separated by a space; even though that means losing 2 more characters.)

But yeah, I guess that's a personal preference and maybe I should make my own theming script if I want it like that ;-)

Done: options weechat.look.prefix_align_more and weechat.look.prefix_buffer_align_more have been converted from boolean to string, with one restriction: the string must be exactly one char wide on screen (multi-chars not allowed), so it could be one space, "+" or any char (even wide char) with length of one char on screen, example: "…".

Currently when a nickname is longer than weechat.look.prefix_align_max, it gets cut off and a + indicator is placed to indicate the cut-off. However, having just a + sign makes it harder to select text directly following the nickname, since it will include the cut-off nickname and the plus sign.

It would be nice if the string that gets appended to the cut-off nickname is configurable, so I could include a space with it for instance (or change it into a character that falls outside my terminal's word selection range). This would improve usability, and theming support.

Apart from the nickname cut-off, it would also be nice if this could apply to the merged buffer name (weechat.look.prefix_buffer_align_max).

Thanks in advance. :)
