Hi,

I saw your test file browsing web repository then I tried checked out in fresh folder but problem persist.

Just in case, will you remove and recreate the web homepage folder?

Thank you very much
Victor

Hi,

I checked CVS/Root out as you said and I tried to checked out again but stills not working. Second time I wiped folder and checked out again but stills not working. For some weird reason cvs is trying to upload into /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/ instead /web/dhcpdtui/

~/savannah/web $ cvs -z3 -d:ext:nmag@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/web/dhcpdtui co dhcpdtui
Enter passphrase for key '/home/gnu/.ssh/id_rsa':
cvs checkout: Updating dhcpdtui

~/savannah/web/dhcpdtui $ cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
Enter passphrase for key '/home/gnu/.ssh/id_rsa':
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/big.html,v: Permission denied
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/index.html,v: Permission denied
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/main.png,v: Permission denied
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/menu.html,v: Permission denied
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/splash.png,v: Permission denied
cvs commit: saving log message in /tmp/cvsQtXqSO

~/savannah/web/dhcpdtui $ cat CVS/Root
:ext:nmag@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/web/dhcpdtui

~/savannah/web/dhcpdtui $ cat CVS/Repository
dhcpdtui

Thank you very much
Victor C

The file and directory permissions look okay to me. The /var/lock/cvs/web/dhcpdtui directories look okay to me.

What command did you use to check out the repository?

Please verify the contents of the CVS/Root file for us:

cat CVS/Root

It should look something like this:

:ext:nmag@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/web/dhcpdtui

If not then please try checking out again using this command in a fresh new directory.

cvs -z3 -d:ext:nmag@cvs.savannah.nongnu.org:/web/dhcpdtui co dhcpdtui

Hi,

The problem persists committing pages.

~/savannah/web/dhcpdtui $ cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
Enter passphrase for key '/home/gnu/.ssh/id_rsa':
cvs commit: ERROR: cannot write file /web/dhcpdtui/dhcpdtui/big.html,v: Permission denied
(...)

I was able to commit page into another project/group:

~/savannah/web/liburegex $ cvs commit
cvs commit: Examining .
Enter passphrase for key '/home/gnu/.ssh/id_rsa':
/web/liburegex/liburegex/big.html,v  <--  big.html
new revision: 1.6; previous revision: 1.5
Triggering webpages update...

Bellow another projects that I am member without issues committing pages.

https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/liburegex/

https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/machon/

https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/ukrnl/

Thanks a lot
Victor C.

I was able to commit a test page. Can you commit pages of other groups you are a member of?

Hi,

I'm experimenting a problem just with homepage, cvs commit ends with access denied. Maybe owner, chmod or path. Will you check it out?

/web/dhcpdtui $ cvs commit
