Color images are commonly defined in the Red-Green-Blue space. But when you want to select certain colors (not pure Red, Green or Blue), it is much easier to work in the HSV space.

Corresponding source code
This has some similarties with task #13555 (Add Hue-Saturation-Lightness and Hue-Saturation-Value color spaces).
That task is more specific to the ConvertType program. Later (as the functions mature and get tested), we'll bring them into the library with this task.
