The notes that are connected in the map view with links based on thread are shown with red (or someother colour) link line. Into each link user may write "linking phrases" e.g., "gives rise to", "results in", "is required by," or "contributes to".

In addition to this user may also use a "drawing tool" to make links between the notes. These links are blue (or someother colour). Also these links user may write "linking phrases".

The popup should also display the first 80 characters of the body of the note followed by "(more)" which is a link to the note.

Clicking on "Show bodies of all notes" will open all hotspot popups at the same time.

ImaNote (http://imanote.uiah.fi) will be integrated inside KB to generate one more view to the KB note thread. When teacher is creating a new Course Context with the add_course_context_form she is asked to upload the background image that will be used in the map –view. If she does not upload any image the system will use white background image that is zoomable, as well.

The map view is the default view to the KB discussion. In the discussion view there is always one note up in the top of the page. The note thread is shown under the note. The map view will be the first view and default selection on the Show notes –selection. The wording in bar will be “Show notes … on map?.

The map view will contain the notes written to the discussion. Each note is covering an “area? on a map that is resizable (compare to ImaNote).  Next to the area there is:

1) The icon of the knowledge type
2) The short name of the knowledge type
3 The title of the note.

Mouse over will show the authors name and date stamp under background colour referring to the knowledge type used.

Each note in the map view is connected wit a line on their father note.

Posting a note will generate a note on the map that is located to left side of the screen in a way that it is “calling? the writer to locate it somewhere in the map.

All users with the rights to view and write to the Course Context may also relocate all the notes in the map view.

In the map view there is a possibility to make visible “my notes? and “all notes?.
