Hi,

At first,  please accept my appologies for the long time elapsed since your last reply. I will be much much faster in the futur. :)

So, I have approved your project.  You will receive an automated e-mail containing detailed information about the approval.

Regards.

Hi Patrick,

which 'works' do you mean? The documentation? The copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements are included in the original XML format, and in the generated HTML and PDF formats. It is missing from the info format, because the docbook2x program does not handle the xml tags properly. I might correct that, but for now i would just omit the info format, that's easier...

So, it seems that i've nothing to do right now. Am i right?

Gabor

Hi,

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GFDL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements after the title page of each work.

In addition, if you haven't already, please add a copy of the FDL (available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html in various formats) as a section of your works.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.html#SEC4

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl-howto.html also covers additional points, including a smaller notice that you can use in auxiliary files.

Cheers

Hi,

i've updated the not yet released 0.2 version, here is a tarball of the complete contents of my arch archive:
http://cneurocvs.rmki.kfki.hu/igraph/igraph--main--0.2--patch-53.tar.gz

I did not include copyright/license information in some files (like tests/testsuite for example), because they are generated files.

Also, should i include copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements in the .xml and .xxml files for documentation? What about Makefiles, NEWS, ChangeLog, etc. files?

Thanks,
Gabor

Hi,

A quick question. It is ok if i make these changes in the current version in my arch repository, or do i have to change all previous versions in the repository as well (ie. changing the past). Or alternatively i can just import the most recent version with all these changes made into the savannah repository without importing the previous versions. Which one do you prefer?

Thanks,
Gabor

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

At first:

The address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA  02110-1301  USA

Please update your license notices.

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

Updated versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/lgpl.txt
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/fdl.txt

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

Second :

Please, can you include the *.xml doc source files because we have only generated outputs format in the "doc/" directory.

Third :

You added the license notices, but did not add appropriate copyright notices for all your files (e.g: "foreign-lgl-lexer.c", "foreign-lgl-lexer.l", "foreign-lgl-parser.y" in the src directory and "testsuite" in the tests directory)

Please check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for more information, and update your files.

Last :

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Cheers

Full Name:
----------
  The igraph library

System Group Name:
-----------------
  igraph

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
This is another library for creating and manipulating graphs. There is simply no other graph library out there which can be handle graphs of the size the author is confronted with efficiently. Whenever possible igraph tries to be also user friendly and portable.

igraph started as an additional package to the GNU R statistical environment, and still some functions which are hard to implement in C are available only in R (like interactive graphics). Most functions are however now written in C and they can be compiled without R as a separate library.

igraph also features a Python interface, and other interfaces can be
added without too much pain.

More info on igraph: http://cneurocvs.rmki.kfki.hu/igraph

The inteded audience is researchers interested in complex networks (see http://www.nd.edu/~networks).

The source code of igraph is available at http://cneurocvs.rmki.kfki.hu/igraph/download/igraph-0.1.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  python 2.4 (optional)
GNU R (optional)
