Hi,

We did not get a response from you, so we deleted your project from the pending queue.

If you would still like to have your project hosted at Savannah, please register it again.

The re-registration URL found in our acknowledgment of your earlier registration will direct
you to the proper location where you can re-register your project.

Regards.

Hi,

We are waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week we still do not get a reply, we will remove your project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not, please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi Sebastian,

Applogies for the delay,

OK code wise, I have written a PHP website (see www.ictsc.com) that is modular in design, this is going to be the base of c3ns, main menu structure on the left of the page content in the center and content specific menu's on the right.  This is effectivley the framework for the other elements.  In addition I am working on a couple of  bash installation scripts for the various debian based server systems that I intend to provide configuration front ends for (they are litereally apt-get install, followed by all the relevent packages, followed by a copy process to copy custom configs to specific locations...).  Plus a few generic iptables firewall scripts, generic asterisk configs, generic dhcp3 and bind9 configs (for integrated dns/dhcp These scripts and configs are literally working base configurations for these apps, and in some cases are literally modifications of the configs packaged with the apllication (modified so that the application actually does something sensible on start)

I should be able to drop a few of these scripts and configs onto my site in the coming week as code exerps, they will end up at http://www.ictsc.org/c3ns, (that page is live now but without any real content).  Unfortuinatley I do not have an ftp site, or the ability to host compressed files.  Once I have added the relevent copyright notices to my code and scripts I will make them available to you.  What is the best method of doing so?

Hi,
I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code.
The description you gave when registering will not be read by the general public.
If you are still concerned with privacy, however, you can forward the code to me by email.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GPL you must include a copyright notice and
permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every file of source code.  This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.

A new project has been registered at Savannah
The project account will remain inactive until a site admin approve or discard the registration.

######### REGISTRATION ADMINISTRATION #########

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

  <https://savannah.gnu.org/siteadmin/groupedit.php?group_id=8500>

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
  Computer Control and Communication; Netw

System Group Name:
-----------------
  c3ns

Type:
-----
  non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
  GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
  C3NS (Computer Control and Communication; Network System) is a PHP based small business solution, effectively a suite of management tools and web applications for use in small business.  The system will be modular and designed to be implemented in a manner that is scalable and allows for redundancy.

This project is basically a layer to be placed on top of popular GNU applications pre-configured for small business, the best way to describe it would be a heavily integrated combination of Webmin and a group ware package with number of network management systems bolted on. These are all systems that I have implemented over the last 5 years in multi platform environments.

Current status of this project is that it is a collection of documents and system designs that I have used in the past with no code that is directly tied to this project, current activity is the production of a project roadmap and a project aims document, with an intention of getting community feedback and volunteer support and then publishing a fuller specification.

Project home page will be http://www.ictsc.org/c3ns - but this is not yet operational

The major functions of this suite will be;

System Management
Communications Tools
Productivity Tools
Security Suite

A basic installation will include the core PHP components as well as configuration for the stable servers required by C3NT.  An incomplete list of major server components that will be manageable or come with standard configurations are;

Apache
PHP4+
MySQL
Cyrus IMAP
Postfix
IPTables

The intention is to provide;
1) a package that can be installed on a Server running Debian Stable that will create a fully integrated and secure small business environment.
2) A CD Based distribution with only the required software installed, managed by web interface and capable of being used on very low end hardware.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
  None

Other Comments:
---------------
  The goal is to use no software or libraries that is outside of the Debian stable & testing repositories.  However we do intend to make it possible for other developers to provide a Win32 client for the NMS element.  (We don't use and don't have a windows environment (and don't want for that matter) to develop against so we are not going to do it)
