Hi Olivier,

Nearly everything looks fine now. The only 'problem' I see is that makefiles and other scripts (if there are any) should also contain both copyright and license notices as mentioned in http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/License-Notices.html#License-Notices.

However, I do trust you in fixing these problems prior to uploading your sources to Savannah and so I have approved your project.

You will receive an automated e-mail containing detailed information about the approval.

Hi Stephan,

As required, a COPYING file has been added and the FSF address has been updated.

Feel free to have a look at the new version of v2p at http://hg.ramonat.fr/v2p/

Hi Olivier,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah. While doing so I've noticed a few problems which are described below.

First of all, in order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.

In addition, if you haven't already, please include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL, available from http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt, into a file named "COPYING".

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed. To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

Secondly, the address of the FSF has changed, and is now:

51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1301 USA

Please update your license notices.

Please update the copy of the license (usually, the 'COPYING' file) in your package as well.

Updated versions of the GPL, LGPL and GFDL can also be found at:

You can find some background and a possible migration script at https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=3766

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project. Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

A new project has been registered at Savannah
This project account will remain inactive until a site admin approves or discards the registration.

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific "Group Administration" page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

Full Name:

System Group Name:

 non-GNU software & documentation

GNU General Public License V2 or later

The project is named V2P (Vision 2 Pixels)

This project aims to create a Web space engine to comment
user's photos. The engine is going to be developed in Ada
using GNU/Ada (aka GNAT) compiler.

Our software will be distributed with the GPL license. We
have nothing functional yet since the project is at its
early stage. Yet, you can have a look at some code using
the following URL: http://hg.ramonat.fr/v2p/.

The Web engine will use AWS (Ada Web Server) [see http://libre.adacore.com/aws/] and will plan to use
ImageMagick for the handling the pictures and SQLite3
for the database engine. The projet will probably be
supporting PostgreSQL later.

The main target platform is GNU/Linux.

Other Software Required:
 AWS - Ada Web Server - http://libre.adacore.com/aws/
ImageMagick - http://www.imagemagick.org/
