Like other ncurses apps, WeeChat does not add any space between text and nicklist. Problem is that there's nicklist, which is other window (compared to irssi for example).
That's why a copy/paste includes blanks (on server buffer you don't have any blank char).

As a workaround, you can move nicklist to top/bottom, with command:
/set look_nicklist_position = top
With this position, you don't have blank chars any more.

I think there's no other way to do. If you find one, please let me know.

If there is less characters in line than the term can contain, space from last printable character to border of term (or nicklist) is filled with white spaces.

Though, text pasted from Weechat window into any other apllication needs further editing to get rid of these (unwanted) whitespaces.

I think Weechat should behave like virtually any other ncurses (i.e. ncmpc or irssi) application out there.
