Thanks for your suggestions.

I've added a copy of the GPL and fixed copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements.

The images included in the default theme are released under the GPL (and I've stated that in a README file under cards/).

Please let me know if you see other problems.

ciao,
    ema

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long. Most of your files already do this, but not all.

In addition, please include your copy of the GPL at the top-level of your tarball. It is a bit puzzling to see it in a subdirectory, it looks like it only applies to that subdirectory and not to the rest of the project. I don't feel strong about this, so if you did this for a reason, just let me know. Also refresh your copy of the GPL (the FSF address changed).

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information. In particular, the origin of the cards graphics is unknown.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

To help us better keep track of your registration, please use the tracker's web interface following the link below. Do not reply directly, the registration process is not driven by e-mail, and we will not receive such replies.

Regards.

Registration Details

  • Name: pryscola
  • System Name:  pryscola
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

pryscola is an implementation of "Briscola", an Italian trick-taking card game (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Briscola).

The code is written in python, and is essentially made up by briscola.py, a python module which cointains the game logic, and pryscola.py, which will eventually provide the GUI.

There is also a very basic AI, so it's possible to play against the computer. We are planning to implement network gaming in the future.
