Hello.

Apologize the delay. If you are still planning to host your project at GNU Savannah please confirm it so we continue with the registration processes. If we do not get the confirmation within 2 week we will assume than you no longer plain to host the project on Savannah but if is the case please tell us - we don't bite, and it will make us gain a lot of time.

Regards,
   Sebastian

Registration Administration

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group Administration page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

Registration Details

  • Name: GNU Emacs for slackware
  • System Name:  emack
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v3 or later

Description:

emack is just a clone the Debian emacsen things ported into the slackware world. Purpose is to make it simpler for slackware users to install emacs modes.

The emacsen portage has been entirely written from scratch using Python and follow the slackware zen: KISS.

Emacs packages are just normal Slackbuild with a grain of Debian infrastructure inside.

Other Comments:

emack: I know this short name is closed to official emacs naming but I wanted something as neutral as possible concerning both emacs and slackware thus emack which is a perfectly balanced name (no jealousy)
