I will close this tracker item then.
Good luck with your studies and all related software projects.

To the Administrators,

Thank you for your careful response to my recent application.  The issues that have been raised are ones that I cannot honestly abide by during the course of this project.  Your response has allowed me to reconsider my intentions for this application - and to remain in line with our shared philosophy of open source, open access, minimal-limitation software, I would like to withdraw this request.

My intention had been to obtain free access to a personal svn repository in order to archive all sorts of code created by myself and by others - and I can't guarantee this code to run on open source software.

I appreciate the time spent reviewing this application, and I will reconsider my needs and I will renew my commitment to responsible computing.

Tom Stephens

Hello,

during the approval process we usually review project archives to see if they are licensed correctly and point out issues. Do you know how to bundle and distribute free software? Otherwise please create a small template archive and upload it.

If you are hosted on Savannah, the Savannah team asks you to not promote proprietary software on the pages hosted here and those linked to from here. This means that all Matlab scripts must work on Octave without limitations and the description should also say so.

Please let us know if you agree on these terms.

Description:

This project contains ongoing software development with the purpose of conducting and documenting academic mathematics research at George Mason University.  The users are myself (a student), and those I permit (fellow students/professors) to access the repository and other features of Savannah.  All source code is to be written in C, Fortran, Matlab(Octave), Python, TeX, Java, and other languages that are able to be (and intended to be) compiled on a Unix-based operating system.

This project contains mostly my personal extracurricular academic activities while studying mathematics at George Mason University for the duration of my student career (projected to end 2013).

Other Software Required:

there are no specific dependencies associated with this project.

Other Comments:

All results of the research conducted through this project are owned by me and are therefore lawfully transferred by me into the public domain.
