Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within one week I still do not get a reply, I will remove your
project. You will still be able to register it again once you have the

Hi Miguel,

We do not recommend to make exceptions to link a GPL software with a
software licensed under a GPL-Incompatible license, we always want to
keep the software as free as is possible. Maybe you can search in
Savannah or in the web looking for another library licensed under a
GPL-Compatible license.

As I see the 4DOM license is GPL-Compatible, do you want to use it
instead python-xml? you will replace the python-xml?

Back to the exception case, please try to keep the GPL compatibility
but if you cannot do it, please read this questions/answer in the GPL
FAQ here: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLIncompatibleLibs

Related to the source code, everything it's ok, we just need to solve
the dependence problem.

Please, the next time login into Savannah before write in the tracker,
this will tell us that who is really answering.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide
us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we
will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Attached is a version with correct copyright lines.

PySQL is available here:

http://pysqlite.org/

License here:

http://initd.org/svn/initd/pysqlite/branches/1.1/LICENSE

As far as I know python-xml is part of python-core, but the SAX part is under "BEOPEN PYTHON OPEN SOURCE LICENSE AGREEMENT VERSION 1". Is this the "offending" license?

In that case:

Can I add an exception to the license for linking with this library?

Can I reimplement it with the 4DOM library which is distributed under this license (i.e. is this license GPL-compatible):

Copyright (c) 2000 Fourthought Inc, USA

software without specific, written prior permission.

Hi Miguel,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

You have the copyright notice missing in all your files, consider to
fix this. In order to learn more about the GNU GPL, consider to read
the How-To here: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html

To avoid confusions about the copyright and license notice consider to
read these URLs too:

     http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html
     http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/License-Notices.html

On the other hand, related to the dependencies list, python-xml is
licensed under a GPL-Incompatible version of the python license, can
you replace this dependence or write to the developers asking about
change the license?

I didn't found an URL to download the python-sqlite dependence, can
you provide us with an URL to download it?

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide
us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we
will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Description:
------------
With Ti2M you will be able to subscribe to open content music channels, download its music and play it. It will also shuffle around all this music giving more time to the music you like in a transparent way. And last, but not least, it will let you "broadcast" your list of played music for other people to "tune in" to your musical selections.

In the end Ti2M tries to be a replacement of conventional FM Radio for open music. If you think about it FM Radio is nothing more than a filter of all the propietary music published so you don't have to hear them all to find good music (or at least fitting your preferences). Ti2M tries to be the internet replacement of "word of mouth" for recommending music, but doing it automaticly and distributedly it can do it possibly better.
