Hi,

Jam is make-like tool, http://www.perforce.com/jam/jam.html

Nevertheless, I am giving up from registrating project at your this. I can't afford waisting too much time on such lengthy registration process.

Best regards

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

Note that Savannah supports projects of the Free Software movement, not projects of the Open Source movement.

We are careful about ethical issues and insist on producing software that is not dependent on proprietary software.

While Open Source as defined by its founders means something pretty close to Free Software, it's frequently misunderstood. For more information, please see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html.

Could you provide us more information (URL) about Jam ???

At last, please include a (perhaps temporary) URL pointing to the source code. Alternatively, you can forward the code to me by email at <tizzef@gmail.com>.

We wish to review your source code, even if it is not functional, to catch potential legal issues early.

For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you must include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long. This is explained in http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html. Our review would help catch potential omissions such as these.

Note that sending code to our repositories is a release, since the code will then be publicly available through anonymous access.

Cheers

PS : Sorry for the late evalutation. We will try to be more reactive. :)

######### REGISTRATION DETAILS #########

Full Name:
----------
karmaGL interactive 2D/3D modeller

System Group Name:
-----------------
karmagl

Type:
-----
non-GNU software & documentation

License:
--------
GNU General Public License V2 or later

Description:
------------
Customizable and portable, interactive 2D/3D modelling application and digital art viewer/repository, written in C++. Project is HIGHLY dependable on other Open Source projects. Application can store existing model files in its file format (Berkeley DB) unchanged. Supported 3D formats are PLY, 3DS and MD2 and 2D models DXF and HPGL as a minimum. OpenGL is used for rendering in viewer. User is able to add new objects to db by drawing it on screen as in other CAD applications. Customization is enabled with help of SWIG, so extending the application with support for new file formats will be trivial. UI should be customizable, default one based on FLTK lib. Target platforms are Linux, *BSDs and Win32, but it should be portable on all platform which support all of its dependencies.

Preliminary code will be sent by e-mail as soon as I find out who to send it to.

Other Software Required:
------------------------
Jam, OpenGL, boost, Berkeley DB, fltk, blitz++ and libplot for now.
