Hi,

I approved your project as wwwnb (code for norwegian bokmål).

Regards.

Hi,

I have contacted the GNU translation coordinator, and he told me to start a savannah project.

I didn't know that only official GNU packages could contain 'gnu', but wwwno is fine.

Hi,

Note that we supports projects of the Free Software movement, not projects of the Open Source movement.

We are careful about ethical issues and insist on producing software that is not dependent on proprietary software.

While Open Source as defined by its founders means something pretty close to Free Software, it's frequently misunderstood.  For more information, please see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/free-software-for-freedom.html.

I see that there is a entry in
http://www.gnu.org/server/standards/README.translations.html for
Norvegian, although there is no maintainer specified. Did you contact
the GNU translation coordinator? (web-translators@gnu.org)

By the way, only projects that are official GNU packages can have 'gnu' in their name. Would you mind if I rename the project system name to, for example, wwwno?

We are organizing the translations pages at the moment. So, the project webpages temporarily set your webpage to http://www.nongnu.org (although the translations will still be posted at www.gnu.org) - I'll keep you informed.
