Thanks, it was a mistake. I set it to non-gnu.

Sigurd, it would be good to precise the copyright notices as Dave suggests. In the project approval, we can check that the admins value those notices, but we won't check whether they are valid :)

I have had a quick look through the tarball posted at http://www.byggeplass.bergen.no/download/phpgwapi_0.9.16.10_xsl.tgz

There are couple of issues I have found:

  • The theme files are not (c) the FSF, maybe parts of some are, but I know that it is not all (c).  The README should be updated to reflect this.

  • Most of the templates are not (c) the FSF, again portions might be.  The READMEs need to be updated to reflect this.

To obtain accurate (c) info someone would need to go through the CVS logs and check who has committed to the files and who has assigned to the FSF.

As this is time consuming it has not been done previously by the project.

Cheers

As stated in the original submission the phpGroupWare project does not endorse of support this project.  This has been registered as a GNU package.  As it is not an official version of phpGroupWare it's GNU package status should not carry over to the new project.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi,
I have updated the headers, included the license and added a README-file to catalogs for images and templates.
I have also shortened the list of modules to only including the api

Please consider this for inclusion in Savannah.

Hi,

I renamed the project's system name.

In order to release your project properly and unambiguously under the GNU GPL, please place copyright notices and permission-to-copy statements at the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than 10 lines long.

For more information, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.

If some of your files cannot carry such notices (e.g. binary files), then you can add a README file in the same directory containing the copyright and license notices. Check http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/html_node/Copyright-Notices.html for further information.

The GPL FAQ explains why these procedures must be followed.  To learn why a copy of the GPL must be included with every copy of the code, for example, see http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude.

If you are willing to make the changes mentioned above, please provide us with an URL to an updated tarball of your project.  Upon review, we will reconsider your project for inclusion in Savannah.

Regards.

Hi,
It is the same project - but the name is reflecting the purpose (for me) of the main application "property".

I will include a copy of the full license.

Hi,

Sorry for being so unresponsive, those are busy weeks.

Wrt your last comments, is that a completely different project?

Also, I had a look at the tarball, and now would be a good time to clean-up the legal notices: few files contain a copyright notices, lots of files contain no notices at all. Optionnaly the full license notice (ie http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html#SEC4) could be used instead of the stipped down one where there's no non-warranty statement. A copy of the GNU GPL should be included as well (check http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude to know why). Do you intend to do that in this new version? We feel strongly about clean licensing at Savannah.

Hi,
I think I should alter
"Name" to  "Php Facilites Management System"

and

"System Name" to "fmsystem"

Description:

This is a temporary project that spans the gap between the current release and the next of the the project phpgroupware (already at savanna).

There seems to be a long wait for the next release (no date is set)

This version is needed to run both applications developed for the next release - and the current - at the same implementation.

phpgroupware wil not officially support this version - so it has to be registered as an independend standalone project.
