It looks like this project submission is forsaken (no activity for 6 months).
I am closing it, but feel free to resubmit your project.

Sorry, I'm not sure I'll ever have enough time to handle this.

Now that we have compliance check script by Sebastian, maybe someone could give it a try?..

Hi Alex,

Sorry for the delay

Yes - we would still like to host the project on Savannah. I added the alternative online repository after being unable to create the project here, as we wanted our users to have instant access to a patched/bug-fixed version of our code.

Regards,

Andy

Hi,

I am waiting for an answer from you.

If within two weeks I still do not get a reply, I will remove
your project.  You will still be able to register it again once
you have the time to deal with the registration issues.

Are you still willing to host your project at Savannah? If not,
please tell us--we don't bite, and it will make us gain time.

Regards.

Hi,

The package you provided is rather, um... huge: over 100 megs, and over 500 megs unpacked; no wonder you had trouble with uploading it to the temporary area.

The problem is: the review process can take anything from weeks to months.

So please explain why do you really need Savannah and how are you planning to use it for your project.

Please use the tracker (link below) to post your reply to this message.

Hi Alex,

Are you still planning to use Savannah?  If not, please tell
us--this will make us gain some time to review other projects.

Yes - we would like to host our repository on Savannah - however, I remember having some probs when trying to upload our code sources for your initial evaluation. We use git for our developments, and I did not see a way to upload our files - there was an option to upload to a temporary area, but I continually received an error code (7 or 11?)

Please note that we don't allow to use Savannah only as project mirror--the
development should happen primarily on Savannah.

That's fine - we have a version on repo.or.cz, but that would be converted to be a mirror site.

Best regards,

Andy

Registration Details

  • Name: OpenFOAM-1.5.x
  • System Name:  openfoam
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

The OpenFOAM (Open Field Operation and Manipulation) CFD Toolbox can simulate anything from complex fluid flows involving chemical reactions, turbulence and heat transfer, to solid dynamics, electromagnetics and the pricing of financial options. OpenFOAM is developed, released and supported by OpenCFD Ltd (http://www.opencfd.co.uk) and is freely available and open source, licensed under the GNU General Public Licence.

The core technology of OpenFOAM is a flexible set of efficient C++ modules. These are used to build a wealth of: solvers, to simulate specific problems in engineering mechanics; utilities, to perform pre- and post-processing tasks ranging from simple data manipulations to visualisation and mesh processing; libraries, to create toolboxes that are accessible to the solvers/utilities, such as libraries of physical models.
