I've been working with John on gnuspool for quite a while.  I've now approved it.  It's actually GPLv3+, not v2+; I changed it on the admin page.  Now I'll see about importing his CVS repo.

I followed the doc in the wiki for project approval.  If there are other savannah procedures I am failing to perform, let me know.

A whole lot of facilities for support of all kinds of printers which can be shared across the network are included.
All the product is written in C, has mostly been developed on GNU/Linux and has been successfully ported to AIX, HPUX and Solaris.
It is a lot faster and more reliable than CUPS and has a lot more facilities.

Other Software Required:

Curses library
GTK+ 2.0

There is an optional subdirectory for building Motif interfaces for platforms which do have that and don't have GTK+

Other Comments:

This is a CVS repository

I hope I'm doing this right!
