This item has been reassigned from the project WeeChat bugs tracker to your tracker.
The original report is still available at bugs #30737
Following are the information included in the original report:
[field #0] Item ID: 30737 [field #1] Group ID: 4783 [field #2] Open/Closed: Open [field #3] Severity: 3 - Normal [field #4] Privacy: Public [field #8] : Unknown bugs Field Display Type [field #9] Category: irc plugin [field #10] Submitted by: fixato [field #11] Assigned to: None [field #12] Submitted on: mar 10 aoĆ» 2010 21:23:13 CEST [field #13] Summary: opnotices sent to a channel should be shown in channel instead of server buffer [field #14] Original Submission: This bug is related to bug #28455 (reported by dominkh) which was fixed in git commit c02f32070cf3cf01acb82db6a833d89c66d36056 but instead of applying to regular channel notices, this new bugreport relates to channel opnotices.
When sending an opnotice (/notice @#channel ) to a channel one is in, that notice should be displayed in the channel's buffer, not the server's one.
Example:
/notice @#help Should we kick this user?
-- Notice -> @#help Should we kick this user?
-- NoticeOp(someOtherOp): yeah, he's been a nuisance for a week.
or:
/notice @#help Should we kick this user?
-- NoticeOp(yourNick): Should we kick this user?
-- NoticeOp(someOtherOp): yeah, he's been a nuisance for a week.
The first example would bring it in line to the current format used for normal channel notices (and make it easier to support other levels), whereas the second example would make it similar to the format used for received OpNotices.
If possible, not only support @#channel notices, but also the other notice levels available, such as +#channel, %#channel and channel.
