This is a known problem with the current unit system. It's been discussed at length on the development mailing list, and we will try to get better behaviour in future versions.

Often when setting an attack flag for one warrior (like, to clean up a few enemy buildings after the enemy is gone) the warrior will reach the circle boundary, and jitter back and forth there. It would be better if it would wander randomly about in the attack area looking for things to attack.

I'm running alpha9 on Debian.
