I second that! I'm trying to use the daemontools to run mldonkey and if it was possible to run it in a chrooted environment as a non-root user I would have to worry less about the security of my system.

I have a small wish: Can mldonkey have 2 command switches. One for chrooting to a given directory, the second: a userid it should suid to.

This would be a very nice to have feature, because then I could run mldonkey in a non-root but chrooted environment. I know, that mldonkey would have to be installed suid root then, but it should immediatly drop it's priviledges (just like bind does).

Thanks
