This bug is invalid.
Enigma runs fine on NT4 using a MS serial mouse or any other mouse. The troubles were due to an inofficial DX5 installation on this machine. Obviously, the combination of the dinput.dll and the used sdl.dll does not work well.
However, other applications using sdl.dll run fine on this machine, and more: replacing the dinput.dll with an even newer version (from Win2K/DX8.0) works also fine!!!

I tried today:
Enigma 0.81 (Win32).
System: NT 4.0 SP6a, MS serial mouse (2-Buttons, MS standard driver)

Problem: Nearly everything seems to work great (and it's really cool as far as I could go, :-) ), but:

As soon as I click any mouse button, the underlaying mouse pointer (e.g. the magic wand in the beginnung) stops moving for the rest of the game. A simple mouse pointer occurs additionally to the dead one (not a Windows but a Linux version) that moves properly according to my mouse movements but without any functionality in driving the game (clicks etc.).

This does not happen if I use the built-in keyboard-mouse (but that's of course not very satisfying....)
