There is no good description of this bug but I managed to find a combination of COLUMN BLOCK operations which would crash the editor with similar condition (now another assertion crashes, one which I've inserted it closer to the place where I cought the bug).

DESCRIPTION: pFile->pCurPos used to point to block of memory which was released. After pasting a column selection, the lines into which we paste are recomposed with the pieces of the column block and it is all taking place into a newly allocated memory. At the same time pFile->pCurPos was abandoned to point into the old block. Now it is reassigned appropriately.

FIXED! look forward to build 38.
