I'm using Debian Ubuntu with Gnome 2.8. When I insert a non-empty CDRW, it is mounted automagically. The context menu of the cdrom icons allows me to eject the cdrom, which I don't want to do.

I've tried to clear the CDRW with graveman, which fails without any details. I've umounted the cd from within a shell. Now the blanking works as expected.

Gaveman should detect, if the cd-recorder is mounted! If so, it should unmount the cdrom (without an eject).
