This bug was happening because bCtrlReleased flag was not cleared on time (Win32 GUI). Now in WndProc() there is an uncondintional check if VK_CONTROL is not released and it is reflected in the flag.

fixed in build 43

An easier way to reproduce:
1. Open a file
2. Search|Functions
3. press ctrl+o, open another file
4. alt+2 to get back to search functions
5. ctrl+tab
6. alt+2, arrow down -> crash

This is hard to reproduce:
open two instances of the same file. Do "Search|Functions" while in the second copy. Select a function from the bookmarks. Try to switch to the other file, repeat few times the process in a while it crashes:
Assertion pSwapIntoContainer == pCurrentContainer failed, file: c:\work\ww-tedit\src\filenav.c, line: 454
