I believe this was fixed in 0.12.6 and 0.13.4. (At least a similar bug was reported then and fixed.) Reopen it if you were in fact using one of these versions or later.

See also bug #9332 about restoring archives that got bugged because of this bug.

this morning system-time changed from 2am to 3am because of summer-time.

from now on no backups are possible, for backups that run via cron.
at that changing time.

failure message:
Previous backup seems to have failed, regressing destination now.
Fatal Error: No metadata for time Sun Mar 27 03:00:02 2005 found, cannot regress

there are two marker-files:
current_mirror.2005-03-27T01:00:03+01:00.data
current_mirror.2005-03-27T03:00:03+02:00.data

possible fix:
remove all current_mirror-files in rdiff-backup-data directory and create a new one pointing at the last good backup
# rm current_mirror*
# >$(ls session_statistics* |tail -n1 |sed 's/session_statistics/current_mirror/')
