Sorry, unless somebody provides a full-tested patch, I will mark this
bug as 'wont fix'. 'stable' branch of util-vserver (where this bug
occurs) will not get new features, and the bug does not occur in the
'alpha' branch.

Having vservsers named mjb-test-vserver1 and mjb-test-vserver2 seems to cause some conflict over 'eth0:mjb-'. Originally reported as a bug on the relevant Debian package:

this may now be fixed in the latest update of the Debian package - I don't have access to the relevant machine to test it right now but none the less the developer asked me to post it as a bug upstream as well.
