Okay, we've come up for a fix in this with CVS. Essentially, once Game over has been displayed, any keypress will bring the program back to the GUI. We're releasing 1.1.14 soon. After we do, if it still seems unclear or unsatisfactory please comment then.

We've also made the behavior between Windows and Linux more consistent. The GUI is supposed to disappear, but it should be more obvious what is going on now.

I have just noticed that on the Windows version,
the GUI window stays open when the game is going,
even though on the Linux version the Window
disappears never to be seen again.
Which behavior is what it is supposed to do?

It should be noted that you don't have to hit ^C. Hitting escape ends the game at any time. If hitting escape doesn't work for you, then, well, that's another bug entirely.

It is very annoying that when the game ends,
the process doesn't terminate and I always
have to kill it with CTRL+C. This also
means that it is inconvient to run detached,
since I would then have to look up its
pid to kill it when I am done.

Also, when playing a network game,
it would be very handy to keep it
going so you don't have to reconnect
every time.

Having it go back to the GUI or start
another game of the same type would
be very useful.

As far as the frontend, I think it needs to be more minimalist, and
tabs are a great start. There is one other thing. When a single player
round is finished, the game window just sits there. I think it would
be a good idea if we either set the player right back onto the gui or
back into a round with the same settings. It just feels like a big
disconnect between the frontend and the game.
