Just reading this section, it looks like I would (almost) always want to use undo instead of file-undo. Why does file-undo even exist?

Is undo limited to reverting to whatever revision is currently checked out?

Are the ,,undo files automatically deleted at some point (such as during the next commit)?

I would discuss undo first, then undo file, and then maybe file-undo (assuming file-undo has enough value to warrant not removing it from ArX)
