yep, that's normal behaviour. if it is implemented correctly it knows by checking the client identifier (aka hash) that it connected to itself.

Using snort (as prelude sensor) on my home-server running mldonkey-2.5.30.15 it reports:

BAD-TRAFFIC same SRC/DST
Source Address aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:8443
Target Address aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:4672

where aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd is my actual ip address

Is it a normal behaviour???
