This was indeed a wxMSW defect. Please notice that I assume that you only wanted this to be fixed under MSW as under GTK both checkboxes and radiobuttons seem to use Enter for their own needs and this seems to be their native behaviour.

Under wxMSW it was a real bug in keyboard handling code however. I've fixed it (fix will be included in 2.6.2) and tested it both in my example and lmi, seems to work.

Keyboard users customarily press 'Enter' to accept input in a
dialog. That doesn't work when a check box or a radio button is
highlighted. Clicking "OK" with the mouse works as expected.

Steps to reproduce:

select 'Group' tab
