Built a fresh vserver with a vlan interface. When starting the vserver, the vlan interface is created with a 127.0.0.1 address. When shutting down the interface, it is unable to remove the vlan interface.
The vserver build command was:
vserver testsrv build -m debootstrap --hostname test.uksolutions.net --interface eth0.1031:10.0.31.254/24 -- -d sarge
This should create a vserver with an VLAN interface of 1031 and the IP address 10.0.31.254. When starting the vserver, the interface is created but with 127.0.0.1 IP:
backup:~# vserver testsrv start
Added VLAN with VID == 1031 to IF -:eth0:-

TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

When shutting down the vserver. the interface still remains:
backup:~# vserver testsrv stop

ifdown: shutdown eth0.1031: Permission denied

And from ifconfig:

IP removed but interface still available.
