This patch report is very old. If the bug still exists in current

I have this problem, also.
It seems to me that it can't handle file names written in other
than English well. Tested with CJK

if you mean the files disepaered from dl list , i think i've had this problem :
mldonkey actually commits the file but its name contains characters that the finder doesn't understand.
some can be renamed with terminal, some with os 9 (with a 32 chars name length).
