I had the problem, but it was because I had not installed dvd+rw-tools (or whatever provides growisofs for your system). You may need to get Graveman to re-scan for other programs afterwards.

I am having a problem that is keeping me from burning data DVDs. Graveman sees the DVD-R disc in my drive as a CD-R, and because of that, will not continue the burning process.

I have no problems burning DVD ISOs with growisofs, and this is the first problem I have had related to this drive.

I have tried versions 3.10, 3.11, and now the current version.

Oddly enough, I have used Graveman on this same hardware to successfully burn data DVDs in the past (under Slackware 10.1, I now run Slackware current), which makes me think something external to Graveman may have changed (cdrdao perhaps) but since this is the only software I have manifesting any problems, I thought this would be a good place to start tracking down the problem.

I checked the other bug reports, but none of the other ones covered Graveman misrepresenting the media, they all involved the media not being detected at all.
