[field #10] Summary: nmh 1.1rc3 tries to lock with /dev/null.lock
[field #11] Original Submission: I see a long (30 second) delay while using "w" or "s" from
"comp". "strace" reveals that "whom" and "post" are trying
to dot-lock "/dev/null", and of course they cannot write
to the /dev directory, nor does it make any sense to try
to lock "/dev/null".

I ve found the spot that does this; I append a patch to
sbr/lock_file.c to prevent the use of a ".lock" file in
that case. I don t know if it s the best possible patch,
but it seems to work.
