I have found a workaround for import_temp but it costs much time.
copy all *.part files to mldonkey Temp Directory
rename all *.part files to their hash name
then use mldonkey console:
scan_temp
recover_temp

voila all downloads but with HASH Name ... but you can save them to their normal File Name later....

I used emule and edwatch for finding the hash and making a text file with hash and real names for some of my temp files.

Perhaps I will make a small programm doing the whole stuff but I have just started programming perhaps somebody else can handle it???

example:
rename 1.part to >>> 345b89e2240298614b9ae32b0a6842c8 <<<
without file extension and without spaces and <<<>>>!!!!

Add to my last comment 25.20.02 04:33
After compiling and using mldonkey 2.0+2
it is possible to scan_temp and recover_temp files in my temp folder again. But using disconnect deletes my files.ini
I have to do scan_temp and recover_temp files after shutting mldonkey with GUI down.

import_temp function is not fixed in 2.00+2

Please gimme a hint how to import my windows edonkey/emule temp directories to linux mldonkey.
I linke Linux and I want to change all my PCs to Linux.

Import_temp does not function.
Mldonkey 2.00+1 deleted files.ini after using disconnect und killing core in Gui2.
Since the import_temp command is not function I cannot start downloading using my temp files.
I have to get hash ID using scan_temp and then redownload the whole file.

At win2kSP3 workstation I tried cygwin MLDONKEY 1.99+7 to import_temp but only display temp files loaded and nothing else happened.

Thanks

I have tried to import old edonkey temp dir using
import_temp in telnet and gui 1 + 2 of mldonkey version
1.16, 1.99+6, 1.99+8, 2.0, 2.0+1 without effect.
Only text displays temp files loaded but nothing happened.
I started some new Downloads in mldonkey without any problem.
My system is Suse Linux 8.0 installed as KDE+Office+several
Libraries for OCaml and mldonkey.
A week ago i could import edonkey2000 temp directory (60GB)of my win2kSP3 PC without any problem on same PC with SUSE Linux 8.0 KDE+Office+Development+Webserver+Networkserver packets installed using mldonkey 1.99-X

When copying w2k: e:\eDonkey2000 with subdirs to
/home/cubi/edonkey2000 i had to start copying of some temp files in e:\edonkey2000\temp again because I was disconnected in Lan for a few seconds.
I used smb://server/e/edonkey2000 to reconnect and to copy the rest of files.

I only changed my Linux System since last week so I do not know if mldonkey is the reason why I cannot import my temp files anymore.
Problems started with the first use of mldonkey 2.0 after clean Linux installation and copying my windows edonkey temp files.

Please take a look at the import_temp function or please give me a hint how to import my temp files (60GB of them)
to mldonkey manually or by script.

I have read in some forums that there are other Users perhaps German ones ( perhaps using Suse Linux too?)
with the same problem.

THX for mldonkey
