I tried 0.6a with Leisure Suit Larry 1 on qemu, and couldn't see any problem with text.

Btw, most (all?) of these games can be downloaded (legally AFAICT) from http://www.the-underdogs.info/

Does this bug still exist in the latest vgabios release (0.6a)?
If the bug is still there, please point me to a location where I can download one of these games for testing.

I believe that this is a problem with the vgabios, in MS-DOS 6.22 clean install, if you run the game kings quest III, or for that matter, ANY AGI game, the text in game is completely corrupted.

King's Quest
King's Quest II
King's Quest III
Space Quest
Space Quest II
Police Quest
Leisure Suit Larry

possibly others as well, not sure why this happens, but definitely a bug.
