We need to find a cleaner way to handle
the XMLWRITER SUPPORTED method since it generated
too much #ifdef in the gdisp_configuration.c / gdisp_xml.c
we should build it on the forthcoming
tspxml library. The library itself should verify libxml2
API capability.

I added the libxml2 version check to configure
and -DXMLWRITER_SUPPORTED when its true.
I did modify gdisp+ source accordingly.

Should be OK.

For now save is not DISABLE in Gdisp+ GUI
but when used it raise an error may be
gdisp+ may raise a pop-up saying this is not
supported?

Mon 06 Feb 2006 10:27:57 PM UTC, original submission:

I was unable to compile gdisp+
because the installed version of libxml2 was missing
#include <libxml/xmlwriter.h>

It seems that this API is fairly new and
comes with libxml2 version > 2.6.0

We should check the version of libxml2 in
configure scripts and desactivate
save/load from gdisp+ if
<libxml/xmlwriter.h>
is not available.
