Seems someone closed it already.. Lack of patience? lol
But it now runs, so seems what ever you did fixed it.

Actually, those two changes didn't work :( However, ion_bidon has just helped to fix it. It works on his win98 computer, so now all thats left to do, before I close this bug, is for you to test on your computer.

Nevermind my last comment. With some help from JDLSpeedy, I may have fixed the problem (and it wasn't with the installer). I was compiling for arch i686, so both i586 and i386 would not work. I now compile it using i386 so that and above arch's will work properly. Also, by comparing an old executable by dejan, I found I was missing a few dll's that may be needed on other systems. I've now included the latest of them. Please download the exe again (from the website, it should be updated now) and try now.

Hmm, looks like one file is missing. The exe and the installer are the right sizes. And I installed in C:\games\globulation_2, with no problems. Try this:
- Uninstall all copies of glob2 where ever you have installed them
- Install glob2 to the directory "C:\Program Files\Globulation_2" and the start menu folder "Globulation 2" (both without the quotes, and untick "Run Globulation 2" at the end. Click finish.
- Go to "C:\Program Files\Globulation_2". There should be 11 files in total. I already know glob2.exe is correct, icon wouldn't cause that error, and uninstall should work, we'll test it later. So, do this:
- Highlight the remaining 8 files (all dll's) and go to properties. The total size should be 1,311,724 bytes (1.25mb).
- Right click data, properties, total size should be 8,517,041 bytes (8.12mb).
The other three folders arn't important. They shouldn't cause those errors when you load the game. Its mainly those two things.

Hmm. Sadly that wouldn't have helped much. Had to drop another copy some place else, since I have maps and other stuff that "aren't" in the regular package, but...
19.2MB (20,214,970)
Obviously not right... The glob2.exe executable itself is:
2,302,976 if that helps.
Installer is:
10,413,112
Though I wouldn't have thought it would run at all if incomplete, most won't. Content length the download manager is given says that is right though, so... And I have tried installing it three times now from the archive, with the same result.
I do actually have it installed in C:\games\globulation_2, I gave the expected default location for convenience sake.

Hmm, that is odd. I'm k776 and I make the executable. It seems to run 100% on windows xp. But to make sure something didn't currupt during extraction, and help find out why its doing this, go to C:\Program Files\, right click Globulation_2 (or whatever you named the folder), and hit properties. The total size should be 20,215,040 bytes (19.2MB)?

I am on Win98 SE and just downloaded the new installer for Win32. All the files seemed to install, but when I tried to run it I got these two errors:
C:\Program Files\Globulation_2\glob2.exe
(X) Windows cannot run this program because it is in an invalid format.
and
Error Starting Program
/!\ Unable to run C:\Program Files\Globulation_2\glob2.exe.
At a guess, somehow the exe for the game got corrupted.
