Today, the usage says the following:

Syntax specific to 'mtn co':

co [KATALOG]

Description for 'mtn co':

Checks out a revision from the database into a directory.

If a revision is given, that's the one that will be checked out. Otherwise,
it will be the head of the branch (given or implicit). If no directory is
given, the branch name will be used as directory.

Aliases: checkout.

That should be enough to explain what will happen, no?

monotone co [DIRECTORY]
check out a revision from database into directory.

Upon first glance this could be mistaken for picking a directory in the branch to check out into the current directory. Perhaps changing it to:

monotone co [DESTINATION]
check out a revision from database into directory.

would be more clear.
