Fri 05 May 2006 02:38:58 PM UTC, original submission:

Hello there.

I found a command execute in libgksu (1.3.8 and older) which using a bad format for 'head' command:

libgksu1.2-1.3.8.orig/libgksu/gksu-context.c

problematic line:
"head -1 | awk '{ print $3 }'",

This should be look like this (for newer glibc's):

"head -n 1 | awk '{ print $3 }'",

I attached a patch which ""fix"" this problem:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/patch/index.php?func=detailitem&item_id=5072

I hope it will be usefull. I know that is a very trivial problem, but maybe it will causes problems on some newer distributions which prevents head -1 usage and only allows head -n 1 version.

Please commit it to cvs.
