Hey,
I got your Private Message on FedoraForum.org - For other viewing, user 'jbannon' confirmed that FWBackups v1.4 indeed does copy hidden files.

Hey,
What is the backup path you're using in the configuration? I use:
/home/admin
and it takes all my hidden directories like /home/admin/.gnome2.
In the programming the command is a "cp -a /path/ /path/to/backup", but dynamic for each line in the configuration file. So it should pick up those files.
If you're viewing in Nautilus file browser, are you making sure "View hidden files" is checked?

Not sure if this is "planned" behaviour but the FWBackup too wil not backup hidden files & directories. E.g., if I put in my home directory /home/jbannon it does not pick up my e-mail directory in .evolution.
