CVS version now includes burning speed and TAO/DAO options. Multisession CDs will come soon :-)

I will add all these options progressively when I have some time, for now I'm trying to fix all bugs before adding features.

Thanks for the suggestions.

testing v4.0.0, the commandline for cdrecord is lacking options.

It is very barebones:
cdrecord dev=/dev/hdd <iso file>

This causes a burn at the defaults of cdrecord. When I tested it,
typing the command from a terminal, as TkDVD itself doesn't work
for CD burning (see other bug report), it burns at 52 speed and
tao single session.

Burning at such a high speed may be unreliable. Users must have
control of the burn speed.
defaulting to tao mode may not be right for some users.

This is not a bug report, just a suggestion. TkDVD 4.0.0 is great,
multisession CD burning would round it out nicely.

In Puppy Linux we have a little Bash script (/usr/sbin/burniso2cd) for burning iso to CD
or DVD. For CD, one of these values is chosen:
BURNMULTI="-dao" #singlesession
BURNMULTI="-multi -tao -pad" #multisession
cdrecord $BURNMULTI -data -eject -v speed=4 dev=$DEVDEV "$ISOFILE"

/etc/rc.d/rc.shutdown is another script with code that pipes mkisofs output into cdrecord, multisession burn. It was missing
-pad, that I added to the script yesterday after reading it can help fix I/O errors.
rc.shutdown also checks available space for burning the next track.
