LDAP developers says that do not exists reserver words, but the problem exists (see slurpd by UMich). So we planning to change the name of attribute in the next release.

I also found your report here
http://www.openldap.org/its/?findid=4639

note that in jamm you can found "delete" as attribute value

ex. replace: delete

in phamm you can only found "delete" as attribute name like:

ex. delete: TRUE

anyway we can only planning to change attribute name whan phamm.schema will change in the next release, alreadey add in TODO

I was using OpenLDAP 2.3. I have one master and two replication slaves. I'm using JAMM, but PHAMM would face the same problem.

It's not a reserved word problem. I think it's a bug in the slurpd replication utility. It doesn't know the difference between delete in the command part of the replog and in the data part.

As I have mentioned in the linked to thread, I solved the problem using syncrepl (supported since 2.3) so that is evidence it's a slurpd bug. I also looked at the slurpd code.

We will investigate about "reserved name" in OpenLDAP schema... but my test do not give me this problem. Which version of openLDAP are you using? Plese post your sldap.conf files.

This is a problem with the original JAMM schema. The attribute called delete of accounts prevents replication because it is mistaken as a command by the LDAP parser of the replica machine. Although I believe it is an OpenLDAP bug, I think it was a bad idea in JAMM to use a word like "delete" as an attribute.

I have attached a link to the tracker item of the JAMM sourceforge site. I hope this can be fixed in phamm, since it should be easier to do so in PHP than in Java. For people with existing LDAP databases, changing over would require a dump, change schema and a reload, which is not too bad. For people starting to use phamm, this is not a problem.
