I have same problem. Xgnokii crashes when 'Activate SMS reading' is used. When using command line, gnokii is crashing too (gnokii-0.6.14 and gnokii-20060926). There is no diffrence if it was 1 sms (doesn't matter which one) or all. Other fuctions are working fine. (xgnokii shows wrong sms's sender number/name, somehow it is using only last digit of correct number, I don't know if it is related.(in gnokii-0.6.12-4.fc5 - last working with smses)). Happens everytime. Gammu is reading all smses so path 6230i-sms_folder-bluetooth=>application is working ok. Full gnokii debug dump attached.

Can you provide details on how I would do that or find out this information?

I quite don't understand the attached logs. Are you able to tell me where this over flow appears (which function, which line, etc)?

Also is there anything else you want me to try?

Yes, for all combinations that I've tried which were many and varied.

Does it happen with any SMS in Inbox?

When trying to retrieve messages from the SMS inbox (all or just one) I get the attached crash (attached as txt file as its largish). I also get the following errors in the dmesg output about possible recursive locks in the kernel but I'm not sure if its the same problem.

I was seeing the same issues with 0.6.13 both running on FC6-test3. Package obtained from fedora-extras
