I believe that using ^some_directory/ will do that now.

I have a project where there are directories with thousands of files being ignored (when we import the production environment to test stuff locally), and these directories are now entered into the .mtn-ignore as ^some_directory/.*

This works fine, except that it takes more or less forever to do mtn ls ignored and mtn ls unknown.

It would be very nice indeed if there was a way to let mtn know that it didnt even have to traverse that directory.
