From original author:

I forgot to mention that I am running
Ubuntu 6.06

This is not necessarily a bug, but I do need some support. I have tried to install all the packages I need, but there are still some problem s when I try to configure the file. What do I need to do to make this work?

Here's the terminal code.

michael@Romulus:~/Desktop/mail-notification-4.0-rc1$ ./configure
./configure: line 1240: config.log: Permission denied
michael@Romulus:~/Desktop/mail-notification-4.0-rc1$ sudo ./configure
