This is a libnotify bug, I forgot I had fixed it some months ago (http://trac.galago-project.org/ticket/94). I could not reproduce because I was running my fixed version. You should update to libnotify 0.4.4.

After switching to GNOME 2.18 and Evolution 2.10 I can now reproduce this problem. I'll work on a fix.

Yes, yes and yes.

I cannot reproduce your problem, hence I need a patch proving that there is a bug and fixing it.

I can. Every single time. And it's quite annoying, let me tell you.

Does this mean that when confronted with many notification pop-ups, you can, for instance, click on the "open mail" action for several of them, and your mail reader opens each and every of them? And that mail reader is Evolution and you are using GNOME?

What information would you need to make sure I'm using all the latest libraries this depends on, and so on?

I'm using version 4.0-RC2 as packaged by Debian. My only setup maylbox is an Evolution virtual folder.

Whenever I get multiple popups, i.e., when I receive more than one mail during a mail server poll, only the first action is honored. Say, I click on "mark as read" on the first popup, and "open" on the second; the result is that the first action is honored, but the second ignored. I've tried different combinations of actions, and so far the second one is always ignored. I haven't tried the case with more than two popups, yet.
